In July of 2019, at the age of 32, I was diagnosed with stage one endometrial cancer. I quickly learned that gynecologic cancers are some of the most under-researched and under-funded cancers in the world. Down There Aware was born of my frustration with the lack of education and understanding about gynecologic cancers, as well as the dismissive attitude toward women’s healthcare.
We explore all aspects of women’s health and encourage all women to be their own advocates by hearing survivor stories, interviewing medical professionals, and talking about topics that are often ignored.
